I've sanded off Squier logos before. I first did it because I had a chipped headstock and I wanted to repair it and that involved taking some thickness off the headstock but ultimately I do it so it looks less like a production line Squier and more of a parts guitar with its own story to tell. At that point, I don't bother replacing the decal, I just spray the headstock and in one case, I took some Sharpie paint markers to it and drew on it and loved it (I'm sure to do this again).

I don't think people should put a brand logo on something that's not of that brand... ESPECIALLY WHEN you're putting the logo of a more expensive brand on something of cheaper origin. That's misleading and something paulk would do...

So did I... when I restored my Supersonic. And put a new Squier logo up there. Looks awesome.

Yeah, it went off track quickly. Fortunately, not before I got what I needed out of it. :)

I bought one a few months ago for a series of concerts I did. I opened for a different group every friday from August into mid september. It was about 8 or 9 shows. By the end of the final show I had beaten the guitar so bad that the nut had cracked in four different places. I didn't have it for much longer after that but it was a great workhorse.

Slow the fuck down, Kurt Cobain. You're supposed to thrash around with the guitar, not bang the headstock into your amps repeatedly.

Fucking hell, who even breaks a nut in four places in a month?
