It's funny, when I first saw the picture I kinda dug it because I like blackout guitars and I figured it was a modded Squier Cyclone or something.
Once I realized what it was I felt a bit sorry for it.

You guys are HATERS. A Cyclone II pickguard, a control plate or two, and this thing would be RAD.

For $800 though?
Would a Cyclone II pickguard fit it? I thought they were slightly different than mustangs.
I agree, it looks pretty cool and it's probably quite solid. Just find it unfortunate when people go through such lengths to modify rare old guitars into strats. It was kind of excusable in the 70s and 80s when old Fender "student" guitars were absurdly cheap, but in this day and age strats are everywhere, at every price....there's little excuse.

Haha, I just like poking a little fun at your grand ideas for transforming guitars. Comp stripes and switches everywhere; accouterments for the sake of accouterments. Not my style, but not my guitars either so have fun!
In all fairness to this guitar, it probably plays and sounds pretty great. I remember someone on here (robroe?) praising those duckbuckers. It's beyond me why someone wouldn't just sell their Musicmaster for a strat, but at least they're not full-sized humbuckers.

Looks cool. Shame it used to be Mustang. Dude could have waited for them release the cyclone instead yo.
Also, a quick request to everyone ever who has, or will sell a guitar: QUIT FUCKING TAKING PHOTOS OF THE GUITAR UPSIDE DOWN FOR FUCKS SAKE. CLUE: THE JACK SHOULD BE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PHOTO WHEN TAKEN FROM THE FRONT. JUST FUCKING SORT YOUR SHIT OUT EVERYONE.
