New Guitar Day Soon

Post by metalhead384 »

Was on ebay last night looking at a few guitars since my extra cash was burning a whole in my pocket, and i found a gibson S1 I wanted. It was a 1976, the first year it was available to the public and second year of production. Additionally it was only $600 with OHC and original case candy. I decided id bid on it but only up to $650 since my budget would be $700 and their was a $45 shipping fee. I bid at $600. Woke up this morning and found out I wasn't outbid. This is also one of Scott Grooves personal S1 and he said this is one of his favorite guitars ever made and this particular one i bought a favorite of his among his 15 S1s. Well it should be here between the 22 and 29. When it gets here Ill post pictures. Theres what mine kinda looks like and what the guitar looks like

The one i bought can be seen at 5:15

Congratulations. It looks real nice. I have never ever played one of these guitars but I hope it's a good one and that you like it.

Nice guitar.

Haha a Scott Grove video. That guy's a complete psycho. Shame he plays so well and has cooler guitars than anyone.

Scott Grove is awesome and raises many good points, but then he's also BATSHIT INSANE and raises a lot of non-points. So he's kind of like the ideal guitarist, really.

I respect his playing, but I responded to one of his videos and he ended up blocking me and sent me a couple emails like he wanted to start shit with me. It was pretty pathetic. He took my comment out of context and tried to open a can of e-whoop ass. Turns out he had a stroke a few years ago and part of his brain is damaged which turned him into an egotistical maniac. Part of me just thinks thats how he is.

Guy with a youtube channel and a bunch of guitars. He apparently gives lessons and is quite eccentric.

Frettedlefty's account is not at all unusual if you search other forums.

That's like THE classic internet bullshit excuse. Right up there with pretending you died tragically to avoid meeting people you've been talking to online.

I don't know, when I hear him talk I just hear the adamant opinions of an old man that wouldn't change his believes no matter the evidence against it.

I miss PaulK1. Possibly the the most fun to be had on the guitar internetz. I think we should start a PAULK1-WATCH thread. Whereever he crops up....we will follow for the lulz.

Aggression and general anger are definitely common with stroke suffers, but I imagine he was a bit of a tool regardless.

I like him AND hate him, I can't quite figure it out. The 'hole blocked me for stating that I liked crap guitars in a video comment. Gah.
