This is the only 8 string player I know that I really like to listen to... love his playing style and sound.

ok, good player, cool guitar. but come on... its a solid bolt on electric guitar, you are not going to be able to tell the "voice" of the body wood, nor the neck "tones" its an age old argument that no one will ever win at.
but i can garentee that if it was made of plywood it would sound EXACTLY the same, the only diff would be weight. and the fact that it would look ugly as hell.
