Ibanez Omar sig guitar ATTN:Thom

I finally got around to getting a decent pickup put into this guitar since I bought it from Thom like a year ago. Sounds a lot better now. The neck is still a bit wider than I'd like, but it's a nice guitar.

Definitely looks better with a white pickup also. All this time I was searching for the right screws to work with the messed up threads the JB jr had, in the end I just drilled out the threads a bit to fit the stock screws through it.

I thought the neck specs on those were a straight rip of the squier super sonic neck?

Its wider than a Supersonic. I expected it to be like the SS but it's not.

I'm going to be using this as my backup to my Musicmaster, one thing I can say is it makes it easier to do certain types of notey chords, I finished writing two songs on it yesterday as it gave me some different perspectives to try out. I still prefer the smaller neck but single-notes are definitely easier to play on this thing.

Yeah, it's definitely punchier than the stock hot rail, which was why I had to replace it.

I really love those guitars, and one day I'll eventually get one. Probably when I finally head to uni and don't have to justify buying another guitar to my parents .

I like that guitar. Neck feels off to me, but I'd still buy one for the right price.
Congrats.

When you finish your Ph.D., you can have eighteen guitars. Trust me, I'm a doctor.
