NGD - Parts Jazzmaster (now with mint!)

Post by Kurbis »

1960's body with a 2010 AVRI neck. Refinned in "taos turquoise". Novak pickups. Jazzmaster in the bridge, P90 in the neck.

Plays so well! I'm excited for this. Thinking about putting a mint guard on it.

Gorgeous. Really digging the genuine finish wear on the body. Post pics plz if you put a mint guard on. :)

Agreed on Novak pickups. They're very good indeed. I have a JM-V in the neck and a JM-FAT in the bridge, and that combo works well. It's cool that he does P-90s for the JM form factor, and I'm not surprised that works well too.

Yeah, they sound really great. A little bit noisy, I'm thinking it might be a grounding or guarding issue though. Also thinking about trying some SD antiquities (although I like the tone right now) and a mastery bridge.

Changed the guard. Now mint! I'm loving the look of it. Still on the fence about changing the pickup covers and knobs to aged white.

I liked the tort better too but maybe it'd look better with aged pickup covers and knobs.
