i haven't currently got a way to get a pic of it, but on the inside sleeve for the album there is a pic of dude playing a jazzy looking guitar(sans the rythm circuit) with blocks and a locking nut. its black with a tort guard and matcing headstock. anyone know what it is?

BAMM! FOUND A BETTER PIC!
looks indeed like a jazzy with a floyd minus the rythm controls.
anyone know if it was a custom shop dealio? maybe a one off luthier thing. or maybe a really really heavily modified beast of shorts?
knowing my current knowledge squier probly makes them for 300 bucks new.

Remember aaaaages ago when you were knocking out the bodies for $50? This was the sort of thing I was thinking of doing. But with Jaguar control plates and a black and silver paisley guard. And a reverse headstock.
Would've been the tits.

That is super bad ass! Would love to have the same setup on a Jazzy or Jag. I would punish the hell out of those strings!

I saw Toadies a few months ago and the lead guitarist had a couple of these beasts. Cool band to see live and very neat guitars.

Looks like a custom jobber.
The pickups aren't standard JM and the neck blocks look rather different from Fender style. I suspect Paul1k

Warmoth. The pickups appear to be bucker-sized P90s but it's hard to tell, maybe a little wider.
