The but is really the only thing about this that I hate. Well, that and the lulzy price tag. I even like the crappy blacked out tailpiece.

Certainly looks like a guitar someone made their own. As the owner of a mangled classic myself, I can dig it.

It's equivalent to Anakin or Luke getting their hand blazed off and replaced with a cyborg hand.

One of the few jazzmasters I do like I do.
Looks almost matt black in some pics,

WANT IT
Putting a locked nut behind a standard one is POINTLESS; shit just gets bound up in the nut as per normal.

..but 1. less string movement through the nut required, if you think about it.
► Show Spoiler
Say the length of the string behind the nut without the lock is 1/20th of the total string length and the length of the string between the nut and the lock is 100th, you've reduced the amount of movement required by a factor of 5
and 2. it also acts as a string guide so less sideways tension/friction.

but the strings can only be stretched out of tune in the 2cm between the two nuts. that's significantly shorter and more difficult to pull out of tune than a string the length from nut, to the tuning peg, and then all the way around the tuning peg however many times the string is wrapped.

Hack job. In a perfect world would be $200, in post 90s vintage fetishists world he'll probably get $2k from some knob.
