Aye, i'm in the slow process of doing something similar.
Only i'm lookin to mix jazzy and jag with strat, once i get the scratchy off Aug i'll post a pic up so you can see how things are looking.
*Edit* Your image is a bit a bit out with the jag trem, it looks much more 'crowded' than that because of the body size. I know because i have physically placed one on the strat to see if it could work.

MNSHO - I would start with something with an off set waist, even a MIM duo or something. You wouldnt have to worry about scale because your putting the bridge and tail wherever you need it.
It just doesn't have the look using a strat body. Or for the cost of that Bullet you could almost have an allparts body. 'course you would still need a neck.
my votes no, but to each his own.

Here's a rough example of how the Jag trem will sit on a Strat body;
Where as an offset body like the Jagmaster is more suited to that trem. Imo i think the strat trem on a Jagmaster looks crap;
*Edit* It's worth checking the pics of shadow's wonderful 'Smithmaster' to see just how good the Jag trem works on a Jagmaster body as oppose to the Strat trem.

yeah i dont really care if the jag trem is on or not . i would probbably just put it on for cosmetic reasons only .
with or with out it i would still like to do this project .
if i were to put a mustang bridge on it i wouldent want it th have trem i would want it locked down or smoething . like a hardtail bridge

not even me? this makes me sad...Nick wrote:Save your money. Buy a better strat, like a 60's reissue, and keep your designs on photoshop. We've all done em when we were your age...just because you can mix and match guitars on photoshop doesn't mean it'll make a good guitar if you actually build it.
