So hot.

The sheer number of Grecos that float across the East Sea from Japan makes Korea a fun place for poking around for such gems. Notwithstanding, The above lovely is not to be found 'round these parts.

This week's local Greco'd charmers in Seoul...A pair of 1980 sweeties.

That semi-acoustic is lovely - Oasis sticker notwithstanding.

Wow, it just got sold...sticker and all. Seller got a full W1.2 million for it, too (about $1050).

One correction, it was a '76. Also had heaps of lacquer checking, upon close inspection...

Exhuming the thread thanks to another Greco popping up in the neighborhood, sans tacky OASIS sticker. Apologies to re-visitng JETT seekers.

Since I'll soon have the SG1000, Godin A4, and heap of pedals in other peoples' hands, this gorgeous 1976 SA-550 being sold over here for $750 is looking like a possible replacement, though the owner says there's a noteworthy finish crack on the top somewhere. Pre-lawsuit SA-550s with the trapeze tails and crown logos on the headstock are rather interesting. They're ES-330s for the most part, have short supports/blocks on the inner sides of the F-holes, but are practically hollow-bodied and ooze chime.

To be continued(?)

Aye gents!

Something about brighter, more articulate vintage-wound humbuckers in a non-center block hollowbody is wooing me like heck right now.

The guy lives just 4 metro stops from my office, so it shouldn't be much on an issue to check the thing out and see what the possible issues might be (maybe tomorrow?). My fickle heart has some competition at the moment, though, as an equally even more enticing mint G6136DS Black Falcon (viva la Dynas!) has been on the market and is slowly dropping in price ($2500 and still falling) with no fish biting so far, and if I sell all of my lesser-used guitar junk and maybe another guitar la wife will give me her blessing for a purchase. The plot thickens.
