i had to go back to the hall of fame and read the paul1k thing. good stuff, wish i would have been around to see it all unfold.
were you trying to use the TOM stop piece as a buzz stop like you suggested earlier? im actually suprised that it started to lift out like that.
were the strings going thru the holes or just under the whole shebang?

i would have thought this to be a nice lil cheat trick for a stop bar type of dealio. at least we all now know, shits not cool.
are you going to leave the studs in anyway ala frankenstein stylee? or try to plug them up in the future?
