Marauder Ice Blue vs Mustang Lake Placid Blue comparison

Post by Awstin »

The original Modern Player Marauders never were lake placid blue, even though they were marketed as such. They were a unique ice blue, which is most prominent when compared to a "real" lake placid blue mustang. This Mustang is unfaded.

Fender are all over the place with their colour naming, like these in Sonic Blue (though one is really Aqua Blue if you're a ghost from Jag-stang.com a decade ago)

When I think of LPB I think of the colour on this barely yellowed at all '69 Jazz Bass. The Coronado has a colour a bit like it under the neck plate.

You will have to talk to Cooterfinger. He has templates made. He's the one who took my design and made it for me. Haha.
