boss rc3 tap tempo help?

Post by Benmurray85 »

does anyone know of an external footswitch for the boss rc3 that has tap tempo AND can stop/start AND shift up and down between the patches?

there seem to be switches that do either/or but i cant find one that does all?

ive been looking at one on bright onions pedals site and ive emailed them to enquire further?

just thought id throw it out on here

cheers

I think the Boss FS6 does this OR

Bright Onion equivalent :

You would need to make sure though, probably depends on your settings on the RC3, for what the foot switch will do..

According to the manual (p.17) it looks like you can use two FS-5Us or an FS-6 to achieve what you need.

You can read the manual here if you don't have it to hand. Might be worth double checking that you can do what you want to do with those pedals before spending any money.

thanks. i cant read it at work but ive emailed bright onions anyways coz i believe the boss ones are powered? a passive one would be a lot easier and they are also a lot more compact

another question. has anybody run a boss rc3 direct into a pa? thats what we'll be doing live. ive only ever messed around with it at home and i noticed a very "digital" noise coming through the amp. i cant really explain it very well.
im guessin there shouldnt be any real issue tho? its only getting used for one or two songs so we'll just keep it muted rest of the time.

The FS-6 needs a 9V battery but the FS-5U is not powered.
