Tele-Master

Post by Brandon W »

My friend Julian just started building this..

I'm in love with it! It weighs nothing even with the bigsby. Fucking killer.

That's really, really nice. What's the plans for the two front pickups as far as a pickguard? Surrounds maybe?

Don't really like the Bigsby and I think it ought to weigh more than a boat. Looks cool, though.

Here's the neck. He is a lefty. I've been trying to get him to join this board and hopefully he can update the build as it goes. He bought it just like you see it. I'll find out which pickups later and let you know. I'm excited about it for him. We both really wanted one and i'm glad he got one first. He deserves it.

i kinda want that guitar case, just for the melvins and pixies stickers...
what sorta guard is he doing? or has he decided it? that is a really cool looking design. and i can sorta almost kinda tell, but is the neck a tele styled headstock, i mean you did call it a tele-master so im assuming that the control plate and the headstock are ala tele, o, that and the squared heel

Yeah it's a tele headstock. The neck is quite fancy. The same guy that built the guitar built the neck. My friend bought the guitar body first because he wanted a lot for the neck and a few months later he went down a little bit and then more and more and Julian was able to grab the neck. It fits in there perfect. He's going to come tell you about it or give me more info and i'll take pics as we go. He just got a esquire also that sounds fantastic. Unreal. He's hooked on teles. He bought a rick kelly custom tele a few years ago and that was a wrap. He was on tour as Dax Riggs guitarist and while in New York he went in and had Rick build him one. It took almost two years to be made and it became a joke with us because it was like sure it's coming, yeah right. It's light as hell too. Now he might as well sell all his others.

The case is mine. The stickers are more important to me than some of my guitars. I have this thing for stickers. It's weird you say that because i was thinking of a thread with the coolest case. I have some really old stickers. Some from the late 80's. I don't know what my deal is with stickers. So, if anyone has great stickers that they don't want i'll take them. Dick Dale gave me some stickers when Julian opened for him. I was supposed to get some Horton Heat stickers when he opened for him also but i got too fucked up. It was a whole big deal of me out of control. Good times..

DUDE! sticker case thread would be awesome! but you gotta give me some time to source a camera and find out where my old j.s. case went.
i have some really badass stickers on there! like rodvonbons band. moolon(andys pedal/guitar company thing in seoul) and i think one or two other band stickerz from folks on here, like ends, got his shit repped on my case. its old as piss and in reality i thinks its actually.... 16 years old.... maybe older, def the longest i ever held onto a piece of "gear"
