NGD: 1966 Fender Jaguar w/ demo

Post by cobascis »

Yay! Just finishing setting up my first vintage Jaguar. Oly white with matching headstock and B&B. It looks more blonde than white at this point due to the aging of the finish. The pickups on this thing sound amazing and the neck is pretty much perfect. Very little fretwear. Unknown to me it came with og coily cable, trem arm, booklet, old set up unopened strings, and warranty card in the OHSC. Checking is everywere, and there is some funky wear near the contour. Took to PG off and I think I was the first to do so, sawdust came out and the PG shrunk around screws. Only bummer is that the neck pocket is big enough that I can fit a heavy pick in it on the bass side, the treble side is tight.

Thanks guys.

Rowland's Jag has been exposed to a lot less sunlight, I would guess.

One of the best parts about it is the bridge... no need to swap for a mustang bridge. Solid as a rock.

This was the first time I plugged it in, so bad improv playing. The neck pickup selector on the lead circuit didn't work as you will see. I took it apart and cleaned it and now it works... hmm. The vid shows how yellow the guitar is:

Maybe the forarm wear is from a watch or bracelet over time?

+1, the vintage ones are alright

That's so pretty man, congrats on the new guitar. I love how both your old-school Fenders have the blocked and bound necks, that shot of them on the couch is awesome.

I think you may have just won Shortscale. Thanks everyone for playing.
