Malekko Ekko 616.

Had a carbon copy, but it had too much of a volume drop for me. The malekko you can adjust the gain when the echo comes on, and has a treble boost, and modulation. Its really great sounding

DOD FX90 if you don't need long delay times.

I +1 to this.

I couldn't get along with the Carbon Copy, the Memory Boy got closer, but I'm satisfied with the Malekko.

Yeah, I first fell in love with the old huge box memory man, but couldnt fit it on my pedal board. This was the final result of finding something to replace it, totally happy with it. I tried a ton of delays to get there

Shit I payed like 18 bucks for one of these about a year ago and it still works and sounds good. It's the only delay pedal I use. I'm sure I'll be happy with a more expensive one but I don't need to upgrade.

analog-esque:
- Ibanez DE7, as suggested already
- Dan Echo (cheap on ebay 2H)
- DOD FX?? (I forget the no.)
- Behringer EM600 Echo Machine (clone of Line 6 Echo Park?)
- Moen Pretty Dolly
- Biyang tonefancier anology delay

- A 2H Echo Park doesn't cost that much.

or, real analog:
- Behringer VD400, as suggested already
- Mooer Ana Delay (DM2 clone?) - a newish pedal, looks good.
- Arian SAD1

I used to have the 616 but I sold it. It was way unusably dark in true-bypass, and then had significant tone suck when switched off in buffered mode. Could have just been my rig though.
