Any Squier news?

Post by Golden_Sonic »

Does anyone know anything about new releases showed during the Winter NAMM 2013 or, why not, rumors about the next Summer NAMM 2013? It would be nice if Squier did the Cyclone available for the global market or did the '51 again...

i thought i had seen that squier was indeed doing the cyclone again, in blue, red, and black. not sure about if its availble in italy, i know italy can be a pain in the arse as far as import/export. especially if you are just an average joe.
i think i also saw somewhere that the 51 was now apart of the fender pawn shop series or something like that.

Yeah, the '51 got re-released as part of the Pawn Shop series a year or so back: LANK.

They also released a semi hollow versions called the '72: another LANK.

I think they re-released the Cyclone in America fairly recently too but it doesn't seem to have come to Europe.

Yeah, I knew about the Fender PS '51 and '72 but it would be better a cheap, Squier version for people like me that haven't so much money... I did a research and it seems Squier released two new colours for CV '/'60 Strat, the first one Candy Apple Red and the other one Lake Placid Blue, both with matching headstock; there's another CV '50 Strat with gold hardware.
Does anyone know if there had been other releases?

Loev matching headstocks, except on maple necks and maybe strats too, so these don't really interest me, but I can see the appeal.

Although I'm still pleased somehow that Squier are putting out strats that are deluxe as all fuck.

my local shop had both those strats, saw them when i got my jag. the blue one looks nice, but i can't jive with the mapple/matching headstock. would much rather have the fiesta red CV or the biffy clyro sig if i were going down the rouge route.
