Belated NGD?

Post by ekwatts »

I can't remember whether or not I posted about this. Probably in the diary thread (MAY THE LORD STRIKE ME DOWN WHERE I STAND), but not in here. So here it is without the pickguard and a banjo armrest bluetacked on to see what it looked like:

LOEV IT. Probably my favourite guitar at the moment. It's big, looks and sounds mean and the neck is like a cricket bat. It's sort of the opposite end of the spectrum to the Batwing in a way, other than the three single coils, but I think they go together fairly well. Probably the last six-stringer I'm going to buy for a very, very long time.

Wicked!
Also dig the armrest; seems like a good permanent mod to make. How's the switching work? Is it a 5-way on the toggly switch?

Nah, three way but with three volumes and a master tone control. Not as rapidly flexible as a strat but it works fine if you know what you want and set the volumes beforehand; first position is bridge and middle, second is all three, third is neck and middle. So you can have neck and bridge or all three on at once.

Definitely an interesting setup.
