NGD - Ibanez AR100 and pink semi acoustic

Post by NickD »

Two new guitars today, went to Leeds and met up with Concretebadger to complete a deal for his AR100 and my Sheraton, so the AR100 is now mine, and before heading back I had a look round Leeds and bought this pink semi acoustic for £130 (new!) spent this evening having a play on both, and both get a thumbs up

AR100 + semi acoustic

I dig it, I usually don't like black hardware but it works well

Glad to see the Ibanez has gone to a good home. :) I would never have thought that black-on-pink would work as a colour scheme, but on that semi it...does. Nice.

I don't know, you wait ages for a 3-P90 semi-acoustic thread and then two turn up together.

Well done on the Ibanez especially, i'd have jumped on it myself if i had the money.
What are your thoughts on it Nick? Heavy on the shoulder but superb sound and playability imo.

That's about right Fran, it weighs a fucking ton, and plays as nicely as any Les Paul I've played. I've only had the chance to play it through my Marshall MG15, but it sounds decent.

It's branded Layke. From what I can work out it is one of a batch of seconds that ended up in some shops up here.

I'm tempted to add a black Bigsby, but that will cost nearly as much as the guitar.

Get a cheaper copy. Found a few on eBay a while for about £40 or so, in black too.

Very nice. I've always really liked that Ibanez since it first popped up on here.
