It is a bit suspicious, but could it be a prototype as the seller ( I think? ) said, but have been made in the CBS era from older bits? I don't believe it was made in that shape in '59 or whatever though.
I'm not saying I thought the prototype thing was true... but it's a ballsy move trying to get five figures for it - surely the buyer would get a proper appraisal done?
i seriously doubt anyone with that kind of money to burn would neglect to have an expert look it over, or i'd hope they'd at least have the sense to find out some basic facts about fender guitar production (easily gleaned from the internet if you have a couple of hours to spare).
has anyone reported this to ebay as a fake? because it is.

I don't see how there can be any debate.
Also, 'Musiclander' is such a shit name.
I can't help but think of Sean Connery hanging out with some long haired dude, maybe whacking peoples heads off with his bodged up guitar.
nope, but I did send in this question "Is there any documentation to verify this as an actual factory prototype? It's very existence contradicts all the known history of the 1968 Fender Swinger guitars."

The word "moisty" has made me irrationally angry.
