Actually Pens, I'm reading up on it now and it seems polyurethane and polyester are indeed different compounds.
Not certain if urethane is just shorthand for polyurethane, though.

Am Deluxes easily cost a good 600-700 more than these in reality. You're comparing manufacturer suggested retail price to best-case scenario retail.
For reference the MSRP on an Am Deluxe is $2300, they realistically sell most places for about $1600. These are listed with an MSRP of $1200 but will be in the $700-$950 range in shops/websites most likely.
