NGD: Surf Green Jaguar

Picked this up today. I'm in love with it. I'm planning on getting a red tort guard and installing a white JB I ordered today in the bridge. Pics!

It's a beaut. You're going to do coil splitting on the bridge 'bucker, right? I'm sure there's an unused/superfluous switch that you wouldn't miss, and could use for that instead.

That's what I was trying to suss out - it's a CP isn't it? Don't think I knew they ever made a surf green one. Was the headstock trussrod adjustment that had me confused.

Half a mo - the CPs don't have headstock trussrod adjustment.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO NEXT PAUL? BLOCKS AND BINDING?

I see a Squier neckplate!

I don't think it's Paul tho. Just like that guitar isn't a Fender.

Hahahaha. It's a squier. I had a brand new modern player fender jaguar neck laying around, a fender tremolo, and a fender neck plate. It got a a shitload of laughs out of me and my friend though with you guys trying to figure it out. Haha. Once it's all done though it will be a fender pretty much. Oh I also put a fender Stang bridge in it that I wrapped in tape to stop the rocking. I'm putting a JB in the bridge and an avri jag pup in the neck. I'm leaving the electronics stock except I'm installing a push pull knob in to split the humbucker.

Two parter.

1- So it's a Jaguar partscaster.

2- Do you have any plans for the VM neck?

Oh and I removed Duncan designed from the pickups. You guys would of never known if you haven't seen that squier plate. Haha. It's a lovely guitar though. Very impressed with it. Would of kept the neck but I had a fender neck laying around. The original squier neck is nice though.

No I would've known because there's never been a Fender Surf Green Jag with truss rod access at the headstock. But there's a pretty damned good Squier.

Yeah. I finally pulled the trigger and bought one. $275.00 I'm very happy with the quality. I really wanted it because I had the spare parts.

Yep. Buy a sunburst or white VM Jag, swap the guard, and sell it on.

Your behavior here was reminiscent of a common stereotype about women. The one about them always wanting to change the men they love to suit their needs. lol

Like what you doing here, but dont like the decal swaps.

its not a decal swap.

its an entire neck swap. totally different

if he sanded off the squier decal and glued a fender one on it i would be pissed too though.

this isn't that

what he is doing is just like me buying a JT-100 and putting a fender neck on mine.

Oh I see. I misread. my apologies. If you don't do a coil split with a push/pull knob, you may want to try a SD triple shot pick up ring to get the split done.

A black pickguard would look good with this too. Kind of like matt skiba's jaguar.
