What's my Jaguar worth looking for opinions

Post by revriff »

Hello All, I'm new to the forum and I'm not trying to sell yet. I'm just looking for opinions from those that know more than me. I've got a pristine Fender Jaguar MIJ which you can see in the pic. I am going to post it for sale when I get up to the required 50 postings but I really need a little help on what may be a fair asking price for it. As I said I'M NOT TRYING TO SELL IT NOW, just want your opinion.

If I was looking for one of them in the UK then I'd look for one about £400 or less.

So maybe $550+ ish in the US... ? ... you guys pay a lot less for Fender than we do.

That ceiling fan sticker on it really takes away from the overall value.

Mustn't be that sweet if you're so keen on selling it.

MIJ or CIJ? Factory humbuckers? These HH / stop tail jags aren't particularly desirable, but I've never seen one that color, I like it.

It's a cool colour. The UK only seemed to get the black ones but I got that same body from a chap in Amsterdam. Really like the black pg on it!

You might be in the $400- $500 range. We see black ones all the time so the unique color makes it stand out more.

Surely it's only worth what somebody is willing to pay? Check past eBay listings for a rough estimation.

Japanese Fender stuff tends to be priced quite highly right now by many.... but no one is buying, so rock and a hard place springs to mind.

Looks in good condition, and original and has slightly more obscure finish... really it is what someone will be willing to pay, but a niche market it is.

you might be able to score as much as 700 on ebay as long as it what someone was looking for. on here, you might only be able to sell it for about 500.00 and thats a deffinite MAYBE. the hardtail kills it for me an a few others, im a vibrato user and abuser.

IT'S A TRAP

possibly.

Last time I saw someone come around here with a rare color HH Jag Special, they said they didn't wanna sell it, but then someone found it on eBay for the price someone recommended in thread.

Have you considered adding some block inlays?

Some binding on the neck would also increase its value.

No trem. Jaguars need tremolo. Would give you a quid for it.
