Strat pickups in a Jaguar

Post by FredJr »

Has anyone ever tried this? If so which ones? I have heard that there is not much difference between the Jaguar and Strat pickups soundwise. Maybe that's why Warmoth does not offer a rout a for Jaguar pickups.

I ask because I experiment a lot. Just got finished building the Jaguar and the stock AVRIs I bought online came thru out of phased - that kinda ticked me off because it caused a lot of extra work. All is well now but I would like to try another route to tone w/o spending a couple of hundred bucks for boo-teek models unless I run into some extra cash.

i dunno about what particular jags have what routs but the strat shape pickup won't fit into a classic jag rout

you can fit lace sensors in there but then you'd need a custom pickguard or hack your pickup covers or something

Warmoth body - pretty much a universal 2 pickup route including humbuckers.
