Body and pickguard were given to me in this condition. I routed the back for a battery compartment and added a fuzz factory with the fat in/out caps mod. It's a lot of fun. I refinished the neck also but just removed the logo and gave it an amber tint nitro gloss finish.

I have been wanting to do this! I want a fuzz or od circuit implanted in the cavity. I can't wait to hear it..

I am kind of assuming the tan paint is some sort of military spray paint. It has been painted a few times and beat to hell but I do not know its story. The pickguard had gouges in it and had been sanded some. I used some 440 on a block and smoothed it out then a little steel wool and a coat or stripper glitter clearcoat. I got the neck from Ebay and someone had sanded the logo off and put on a really bad fake Fender decal. They didnt even sand off the made in china and stuff off the back of the headstock. I removed the fake Fender logo, left the back markings and gave it an amber tint with Stew Mac nitro in a rattle can. It does look a lil funny to me with no logo and the neck in like new condition with the body so screwed but I can't see relic-ification any further.
