your dream guitar

It's always fun to post about this kind of thing, and I thought rather than make a new thread about something we've already covered why not bring this back?

For me at the moment a more realistic dream guitar is this 68 Gibson ES330

Been trying to work how I could possibly fund it, hopefully I can find a way to.

I have 2 of 3 of my favourite guitars. A Jazzmaster and an SG. All I need now is a good Mustang and I'll be set.

I still have an aesthetic appeal towards those guitars but I still haven't played or actively searched for any in person. I'm not sure if I still feel the same way about those guitars as i did a few years ago.

Probably a Tele Deluxe, if anything. I already have a Strat and a Jag, which get me light & jangly and dark & plunky sounds (respectively), so I'm good for single coil sounds, so a Tele Deluxe sounds perfect for humbucker sounds. Plus the giant chrome pickups look badass, so that's a plus.

Now that I think of it, I'm going to have to buy one of those Squier VM Tele Deluxes now, just to see if they're any good. They've been mostly ignored, with kinda makes me sad.

Man, this drives me nuts. Fender finally puts out an affordable WRHB equipped guitar, and I can't find one anywhere to try out.

I surely can't pick one "dream" guitar. Lately I've been GASing for a white PRS Starla with a Bigsby.

The 1990s Tele plus is definitely one. Dually red lace sensors in the bridge and blue in the neck. They're rare and expensive in decent condition. Not sure I'd got for the crazy paint effect, but it's certainly something!

Not my dream guitar by some way, but along with my recent Strat lust, I really like the Jaguarillos. Took a bit of warming to (I think I was just deflated by the whole Pawn Shop series) but now I'm really fancying one. I don't think the price is too outrageous, either. My only reservation is the bridge, but I'm sure I'd get over it.

First humbucker'd guitar I've been drawn to since I was about 17. Need to get somewhere to play one, sound clips I've heard are great, though.

there is a jaguarillo at the local guitar center, its at the very tippy top, i asked a guy once to get it down for me, and he said just a moment. about 20 mins later i left. i think the naked top area(where the rythm section should be) looks wierd.

Agreed. Maybe this should be a chrome plate with perhaps a phase switch and a switch to split the humbucker.

Beautifully modded epi, what pickups did you install in it and why did you sell such a handsome guitar?

I think I'm gonna have to build my dream guitar.
Maybe win the lottery or get a decent job...
When I have some more skills I will build a Mustang.
Maple neck and 1 piece walnut body. With the skunk strip and truss rod plug from the same board as the body.
Just clearcoats to make it shiny. And a black pickguard.
It would look very much like this beast.

Don't expect a build anytime soon though, I need skills, time and money.
And right now all those are a little lacking...

Grundig for me but definitely have some memories of past glories of a sidewinder as well
