I scored these two guys off of craigslist recently which is an anomoly given the rarity of the FZ-2 alone.
Overall, the FZ-2 has 3 cool sounds, the Superfuzz sound, the Electric Wizard sound and an awesome sounding boost. The FZ-3 is more like a silicon Tone-bender crossed with a silicon Fuzz face. Overall, I am on the fence about ebaying the FZ-2 due to its scarcity, but I already have a Guyatone TZ-2 for superfuzz options, yet it lacks the Armageddon sound option the Boss has. The FZ-3 is ok, not that impressive, seems to lack the clarity of a fuzzface.
Thanks, I have a problem with Boss pedals, I like them too much. I already have a small collection of essentials, but I don't really have the space to justify it and my policy has been a pedal in= a pedal out.

I'm doing that with guitars now. I'm a fan of Boss stuff also.

I have been playing these off and on since I got them and have come to some conclusions. The FZ-3, although it looks cool with its gray hammertone finish always sounds too dark and doesn't sound lively enough unless you always keep the fuzz jacked, overall, I'll probably sell it since I have all my Fuzzface bases covered with my Fuzz factory. The FZ-2 on the otherhand just keeps impressing me everytime and I've created some massively cool fuzz tones with it. Love that FZ-2
Glad you held on to it. I have heard a few people this week talking about stuff they unloaded too quickly and regret it. Sometimes it takes time to bond with a new piece of gear.

Yeah, sometimes it does, and if you sell it too quickly, you regret it later! I buy and sell alot of pedals to fund my hobby and create extra income on the side. By doing this all of my new pedal purchases are basically free and I have extra money on top it I got both of these for super cheap so its no big loss if I hold on to them for awhile, but I'll probably keep the FZ-2. Much like the RV-3 I had, I didn't give it enough time for me to bond with it. I sold one RV-3 only to regret it and find another for a reasonable price again.
