had been filled with alder plugs. The small ledge for the trem was missing and needed to be replaced in a way that would be sturdy.
I knew I wanted to replace the alder plugs with ash but that was about the extent of my game plan at the time. He was great
about letting me take as much time as I needed to figure things out.

First off was routing out the alder bridge pickup plug and filling it with an ash plug. This would be completely covered
by the pickguard so I wasn't extremely worried about it matching.

Next up was the trem ledge and replacing the rest of the alder with ash. I decided to route out a 9/10" deep strip from the trem opening
all the way to the butt of the body. I made it slightly wider than the trem opening and I curved the edges inward as it entered the opening.

Routed and sanded smooth. Now the trem has a proper ledge and DGNR8 can do the sunburst refinish he has planned.
