This is what I use with my JSF power supply, works a treat.
same here. I use the 1spot just to power a pedal that can't be daisy chained as I found some noise issues with certain pedals daisy chained through it where as the JSF one has never been a problem

One option would be to find a cheap 18V power adapter that the college tech can PAT, fit a suitable in-line socket to the Gator power lead to turn it into an adaptor specific to the Gator.

So I've ordered the Johnny Shred Freak power supply and the Visual Sound 8-way daisy chain. Fingers crossed it will all arrive before my band practice on Tuesday!

Why not just buy two of the JSF daisy chain yokes that power five pedals each? Plug one into the other, and you have a nine pedal daisy chain? That works, no?

And then you have an excuse to buy yourself another pedal.

The last thing I need is an excuse to buy another pedal. Basically I did this so I don't have that excuse.

Ktec 18V 18W psu live tip.

Post by canoecaper »

I have x 2 off the later PSUs. I don't want to trash them but would like to drive the G-BUS-8 distribution boxes that I do like, from a Gig Rig "Generator".
1 Generator, 1 "Distributor", 2 "voltage doublers" and 2 G-BUS-8 boxes, leaving 4 connections for 12V and 24V pedals.
Does any one know the formal description of the 18 volt live tip plug, or any other environment in which they are used?
This plug socket arrangement seems familiar but I can't nail it.
Rgds.

ktec ac power supply

Post by sergio saldivia »

Hi,

I am new around here, and I realize this is an old post, but I went through this thread looking for the same ktec part, so if someone is in the same place in the future, you can find it here.
