Stratojag - jagmaster conversion neck project

Post by jallawalla »

Hi all,

Been lurking for a long time. Just built a 24 inch scale strat with a squier jagmaster neck. Full project details on video.

Hope it helps others who want to do the same.

Well done. I think some of the Jagmaster necks are actually true 24" scale, and some are conversion, and I think some are actually a full 25.5" scale. It's confusing but hey, you made it work!

IIRC,

Vista Jagmaster = true 24"
Jagmaster II = 25.5"
Standard Series Jagmaster = conversion 24"
10 PRINT "Bite Me!"
20 GOTO 10

Yes, but I think I just resolved the myth of the easy 24" conversion neck on the mark 3 (standard series). You still need to cut a lump off. If someone will donate a squier duo sonic I'll happily do the same project with that to see if it is easier (i.e. a direct fit).

The duo necks and the jagmaster necks are identical spec wise..
