the squier jag i bought has a 9.5 radius and if i didn't know that, i'd never have noticed (until i changed the bridge, i daresay).
it wouldn't put me off spending 300 on a good quality tele with binding, as opposed to the 6-700 the japanese 62 RIs sell for.
squier classic vibe FSR custom teles?

value wise, the Classic Vibe is the best. but the MIM Classic Series is a better guitar IMO. nothing about the Classic Vibe neck is right for vintage spec. profile, radius and frets are all modern spec. it just doesn't really get the vintage feel. Classic Series has a very comfy size to the neck that's more of a bigger C shape where the Classic Vibe is more of a flatter D shape. vintage tele necks are a bit bigger like that. that is part of the feel and allegedly, the tone of the vintage teles.George wrote:The point I'm driving at is that they make fantastic guitars for the money which surpass Mexican in my honest hands on, under the hood experience and for less money. All I'm hearing really is that there isn't a 7.25 radius or vintage fret wire on them, which these days is a niche requirement but certainly a fair point. They're still real teles that get the vintage feel down pretty well as well as a few changes to make them easier to play
