i broke TWO boss pedals in a week!

seriously cant believe it. always thought they were practically indestructable

incident one - graphic eq (ge7?)

completely died on a gig. switch not working passing zero signal on or bypassed. just whipped it out of mi board and cracked on. tried it last night and it seems ok now? just led not working which is a bit annoying as its not an obvious effect when its on.

incident two - sd1
practice last night switch completely knackered. doesnt come on when "stomped." pretty much jumped on it in frustration and it came on and couldnt get it back off (obviously) by the end of the night it seemed to be working if you give it a proper kicking but its definately on its way out

anyways not really seeking advice or owt coz i grabbed em both 2nd hand at low price so im not really peeved. just thought id put this out there and see what people say?

A common issue with Boss pedals is the switches, often it's just them getting dirty and they can be cleaned very easily. I had a similar issue recently and a guy on the Boss forum posted a link to a site with instructions on how to clean them. I'll search it out and post here.
