the a width 24 scale neck is the rare of the rare. all 22.5 scale necks are a width so, meh.
tho a 22.5 scale mustang is still an oddity.
the real price is a jaguar 24 scale a width.

Serious de-value, great offer
I appreciate your enthusiasm, Rob, and especially your willingness to pay good money. If I could get $900 for it, I'd take that offer. The 24" scale is definitely worth more...it's more playable for most people.robert(original) wrote:hold up. you have an a width 24 scale neck? that mustang looks all o.g. as well, 900 is a really great fucking price on it.
I'm no vintage expert, so this is just a semi-educated opinion: DuoSonics are not as dear as Mustangs; with the replaced parts and refin, it's DuoSonic identity is compromised and the vintage value is just plain gone. It's a parts guitar now, with a vintage DuoSonic body. Maybe a vintage neck with uncertain provenance.
Parting it out...$400 vintage body, $225 neck, $150 vintage pickguard, $100 pups, $100 caps, pots, switches...might make a little more money. IMHO.

Cheers,
Doug
