cheap acoustic di/preamp box

Post by George »

have behringer or joyo done a clone of anything yet?

i've seen the behringer ADI21 but it seems more like a modeller than a proper preamp pedal for live use.

http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/ADI21.aspx

are there are any cheap solutions to get some control over your acoustic pickup eq before it hits the mixing desk?

Not sure but in looking for a joyo candidate I discovered they're doing vox style amplugs for a fraction of the cost!

The behringer is a DI with a sweepable mid range. It's really really good. I've used it for a lot of live work and it does wonders for your tone.

Yep I plug a Fishman Rare Earth Humbucker into it and it really improves the sound and cuts down on any noise. I read about the Behringer on the Taylor guitar forum which is why I thought to try it out.
