any decent flange round here?
Are they any decent flanger pedals around?
Or is flanger just not a very nice sounding effect?
Or is it just me?

I really don't know why, they could be built much smaller (I did build a clone in the 70s, in a Hammond box, but it takes DC power from an HH amp effects socket). I tend to use a Boss CH-1 chorus pedal these days.superfuzz wrote:I have an electric mistress, and I like it a lot. Does everything you'd want a flanger to do, and takes up a lot of board space!

I built a MadBean Pedals Current Lover PCB which was strongly inspired by the original:

And it sounded delicious. But then I sold it. Not really a flange guy. LOLLLLLL

My first effect pedal was a BOSS Bf-2 flanger.
It's a great flanger though I find myself never having a reason to use it. I tend to like my EHX Small Stone phaser better.
I may take the flanger off my pedal board since I am out of space.

in that case, check out the rocktron hypnotic flanger. not metallic at all. more a warbley, watery, chorusy texture, its always got the dry sound running too, with a control to blend the wet in. also, the max setting on the feedback control is quite tame compared to others, so you wont find its all or nothing with regard to intensity. its a really really nice pedal. cheap as piss too.Ro S wrote:
