That's one reason why I like the Visual Sound Garage Tone pedals better. Basic, simple boxes, no fancy window gimmick, the only thing that could reall be considered gimmicky is the names, but fuck it, it's got the regular name in biggish letters. They're cheap and sound good too.
Although I do kinda like the fuzz and delay pedals, if only they didn't have the butt ugly cases.

No, I'm pretty sure the boost, OD, and distortion have tubes, from what I've read.
