I love the Bronco knobs also, but never seem to find a guitar to match them with. Black witch hats or amp knobs can be fun to use sometimes also. :)

I am going to try keeping it with stock pickups for a bit and see how I like it. I don't want to get hung up on the old "Japanese electronics are trash." I know they are wound like strat pickups, but I want to give them a go before just tossing them. I might have a buddy who makes custom pickups just rebuild them for me Jazzy style if I don't end up liking them. He has done that for me before.

Kids are going to bed soon and then I will get some fresh pictures up. :)
I found my stock CIJ jazzy pickups to be okay but a bit weak...she 'whispered' rather than sang. I still have them in a box somewhere and even have a photo comparing the view from the side with the replacements that Novak made for me.

Although they are indeed Strat-style polepieces attached to jazzy-shaped bobbins, the windings don't look *quite* the same as a Strat's. They're sort-of in between the two, i.e. wider and flatter than a Strat but taller and narrower than a traditional JM. Perfectly fine if it works for you though.

That's a great guitar. I need to figure out a way to convince my job to send me to Japan so I can pick up a compstang without having it shipped. The mint on that black looks nice and clean.
