Blue Chip mando plectrum

Post by Dave »

It's the Chris Thile signature with a right hand beveled speed edge, and custom engraving of my own sad and particular choice.

Not had chance to give it a full go so will report back some fuller thoughts when i know them. here it is:

That's a bit pricey for 1 pick, I hope you don't lose it!

That's so funny. I like it. I saw it yesterday on fb. I wanted to show you my favorite pick...

My wife gave it to me years ago. I rarely use it but it's always with me. Thanks

My wife says it's engraved stainless steel. She heard that quote in a white stripes song. I use it for some studio work or when i get nervous or when i want to break the fuck out of my strings. I broke several strings on my song for the comp. haha

I keep Paul Stanley's pick in my wallet, since you never know when you have to disprove a metalhead.

My fave would have to be these

What's your opinion of the Blue Chip pick? A lot of my favourite guitarists are using these. They're a bit pricy though.

I'm not sure I have a full sense of it yet, remember this is on Mandolin which is a pretty new instrument to me, but I can definitely say it's bright, loud and tough as nails - no visible wearing on the tips at all YET. I will roadtest it on guitar soon and I think I'll have more to compare with that way.
