"Thinner undercoat for improved body resonance"

Hmm

I ordered a Shell Pink one. I love that color. I don't think Fender has made a regular production American Stratocaster in Shell Pink since 1963. All the reissues since then have been made either in Mexico or Japan. The only ones made in the USA were the Custom shop reissues and the one ones with non standard features like The Strat Plus or the FSR Strat with Lipstick pickups that came out last year.

Lulz. I see they are making 3D printed bodies now. Out of like strong plastic. I can just see it now, "Fender 3D series" with bodies that sound like a rubber hose with a humbucker attached to it.

I don't know why Fender persist with those awful machine heads on their modern guitars. Such lovely guitars spoilt from the off.

the whole thing looks vintage except the tuners and two point term. makes it look like a parts guitar.
do love the green one. with an old tort guard, it would look awesome.

Can't see the issue with a 2 point trem - you're missing a few screws in the middle and they work very nicley compared to the traditional type (which also work nicely too of course).

But yeah Klusons all the way for tuners, or some decent looking locking ones. Can't stand ones with just the hole.

Slotted tuners are such a simple and elegant design that I don't understand why anyone would use the other style. I can't see any advantage at all and it's not even like there's vintage mojo at stake.
