Why not just try a small bit of veneer or something as a reverse shim? Might work until you figure out a solution?

Are there saddles that sit higher you would switch out? Can you get longer height screws that could raise it just a hair higher?

What kind of Jaguar neck did you use?

Thanks for giving me that push to suck it up. I went in the garage and got a piece of wood, cut it to the shape of the plate, shaved it down a little, painted it black, and now I have this.

Kind of looks like a floating bridge now. I didn't have a full set of strings, so I used a couple scrap ones to check the height until I can go tomorrow to get some more strings. As you can see from the picture below, I should be able to get the action high enough for my liking. :)

What kind of neck are you using? It might work fine with a vintage neck if you aren't already using one. It didn't look like anything
had ever been done to the neck pocket. Some of the newer necks are a little taller than the vintage ones.
Also, you might try barrel saddles without the grooves. That will raise the strings a small amount. I'm guessing a vintage
neck and vintage bridge would work perfectly but you may not want to put any more money in it.

Is there a shim in there? Kind of looks like the neck is not parallel to the body.

Sorry bout the saddles man. I never used em. I bought them and the bridge from cooter and they just sat in the bag the whole time.

No worries. :) Not your fault at all. :) The Japanese necks are taller than vintage ones. :) This bridge shim should work fine. It is on there solid and the action is much better. Doesn't look vintage correct, but it is functional and I am cool with it. :)

Well that's all that matters then. It turned out great.

All finished! Sounds great. The bridge mod worked out great and I like the floating look it has now. Totally solid. Sustain is unaffected. :)
