The body obviously has some differences other than neck. The bottom horn is cut differently and the f-holes definitely aren't in the same spot.

I can't wait for the Coronado to drop....excited to see whether there will be any solid colour schemes on this (although I'll gladly take a tobacco burst if not). Fender have gone up in my estimation as a result of this (I still think Squier have been on a massive roll of late though, what with the Bass vi & all...).

According to the bloke on Offset who leaked the Squier offsets and VI information:
So, they'll definitely be made in China (as stated on other forums). They are their own series. And the MAP price is $699. Dealers should find out in the next week or so (I'm pretty sure). Also, I don't know if the bass versions will be the same price or not.
Anyone know what a MAP price of $699 puts it on a par with? Blacktops? Modern Players?

Edit: just had a quick look on the Fender US website and the Blacktops have an "MSRP" of $699. Anyone know if MAP is the same as MSRP?

If so, then they might be around £500ish in the UK.

MAP is retail. It puts them between Blacktop and Classic Players.

I need to do a video demo of my Coronado II.

I am so glad I have an original one, but I am glad for the reissues. I will be interested in what neck radius they go with, though it will probably be 9.5"

I do like the tobacco burst and if I get one of these it would be cool since my Coronado II is a tremolo model and these appear to be stoptail.

There has been a Coronado II on CL for ages at $1300 in pretty good condition.

Looks like a TOM bridge from the picture. I wonder if it is sitting on top or if its bolted on.

Ah, cheers. Classic Players range from about £600 (for a painted Strat/Tele) up to almost £800 (for an FSR Jazzmaster) over here. Most Blacktops are around £500ish, apart from the Floyd Rose ones and basses.

It appears way but the gloss finish makes it hard to tell. The binding looks thicker on the vintage models. The reissue appears to have thinner binding and wider wood.

Yeah :/ if you spend a little more you will have a vintage one. The Coronados usually stay around $1K to $2K
