Collecting it tomorrow or wednesday. I'm lucky to get to try many guitars through work, and this one Martin especially really sings over many others I've tried. I just had to have it !! It really responds to my playing well and the has great bass response and a really nice sparkle, just the perfect EQ. I guess I'm just a Dread guy...

I'm very keen on Stratabond neck construction. I believe that it is a construction of the future for the guitar industry. If a multy laminated neck sounds good in acoustic guitar and glue between layers doesn't "completely soak the tone, man", it will suit nice any electric guitar.

Nice Martin. I had an X series for a while and loved it.
if yours has a "rubbed" finished top, keep it clean or the dirt will settle into the grain. Also, you will get a shiny spot where you rest your arm, no getting away from that.

Enjoy!

I've seen a few really heavily gigged ones and I really like how they dirty up and age.

I've tried many of these before straight from the box.... since I work in a guitar shop.... but this one just sings somehow and captured my attention. I didn't bother comparing any of the others after giving it the full nod. I think it would have been my biggest guitar regret leaving this one to sell to some 'Ed Sheeran' fan or somethin'. I can't keep my hands off it !!

It's purely based on sound, but I much prefer it aesthetically to the Tanglewood anyways. The earlier batch of TW47E's, (2 ish yrs ago) seemed much better... and more 'alive'. When I finally got around to buying one they always seemed to lack something. The first one was faulty,(loose rattling truss rod) and the second was fine... but I fell in love with the Martin and consequently traded it in to the shop + plus some cash to sweeten the deal. I've played this more in 1 week that have the other in 6 months. Guitars are about being kept out and played and I've found a winner here. Chuffed to pieces...
