Here is one owned by a guy on the Ibanez Collectors Forum. It is a 1974 preproduction model with a set neck.

Yes,It's a copy of a Rickenbacker 480.Rickenbacker made several different guitars based on the shape of their 4001 bass

I can see how some people would love this aesthetic, like some people love the Volkswagen Beetle. I'm intrigued by it but it's so odd, I mainly see ugly.

Had a dream the other night I got an old Bug for $400. Still want. Will probably settle for putting red/blue compstripes and a 53 on my white Tele.

Haha,$400? Dream on. I had to pay $700 for my old Bug and that was in 1970. I can't remember if it was a '61 or '63.
