The black one is a dead ringer for a MIJ 2012 Jaguar HH Special. The red one is some kind of kit-bashed Jag with a painted head stock and Stratocaster. I would be more convincing if it had one less string tree and Jaguar on it. Looks like the Chinese are taking some of fenders parts out the back door for some extra cash.

I've been umm'ing and ahh'ing over a Rickenbacker bass copy for a while from there.

But I do like that single pickup Les Paul.

With some of the half assed products that come out of China the past few years these "Faked" guitars don't even surprise me. Loads of bad materials and enough B.S. oh by the way don't ever say what you think about there junk products. "You mite hurt there feelings" tho they know there making garbage into garbage and stiffing you on a sale.

JT, it's all down to price point. I have two Chinese-made electric Fender-style guitars, one "expensive" (Fender) and one cheap (Texas). Both are extremely playable and have been compared favourably with USA Fender for feel and sound, but the quality of the fittings relates to the price. I've described the issues I've had with my £45 Texas JB copy's pickup covers (nothing a bit of glue couldn't fix) and the machine head that didn't take kindly to being whacked against a beam (who does?). I know there's a difference in the quality of the machine head covers and string trees between my Chinese MP Marauder and my USA Strats but the Chinese MP Marauder was more playable off-the-shelf than my USA Flying V.

Talk to Thom about his Chinese Les Paul copy, I believe he's very happy with it.

If they have the original manufacturer's logo on they can be seized by customs and destroyed as counterfeit goods. It may be a small risk but not one I'd be willing to run.

My BAD for mouthing off there. I've had a lot of experience with loads of Chinese made goods over the last 15 years. To many short cuts. A couple weeks ago a the plate that holds my chairs seat & back broke ....... damned pot metal. I came close to getting hurt.

I have heard that most of the fenders not made in USA or Japan are rather good for the most part.

- I think I drew this on my Trapper Keeper.

- If I had $266 to waste that would be the one.

I believe the Chinese will make what you pay them to make. Crap costs less, if you want more you pay more. Solid body guitars aren't complicated.

Man I'm so hot for a Corvette or CVT , never seen or touched one in person even, one of my all time favorite body shapes. SG like but so much better looking. That link went nowhere however.

What the hell is a "Trapper Keeper" ? I saw a South park show years ago and figured it was some bull shit item the guy's at South Park Studios came up with. I got my degree 24 years ago and never want to go to another bloody class again. Let alone shop for school supplies.

BTW that Vet blue looks like nice a guitar.

Early 80's USA thing, an overpriced binder sold with lots of ads where cool kids use one and their papers don't fall to the ground but the uncool kids use a normal binder and look like dorks.

I'm assuming that the coy way they don't show the headstocks is to imply that they're logoed?
