New Roadhouse and Lone Star Strats... fine lookin'!

Post by JamGuy »

Lone Star
Roadhouse

Some sweet looking new models... the roadhouse looks quite interesting. Fender is sure rolling out the goods lately. Between these new strats and the new '68 SF amp models I'm hankerin' for some new gear... bring on the GAS-X

They do look like nice guitars.
I'd take the Ocean Turquoise/Maple Lone Star and the Sonic Blue/Rosewood Roadhouse.

I don't like the black bucker on the Lone Star.

I remember when they were blowing out Lone Star and Roadhouse Strats at GC for like $299 each in like 1997. I KNEW THEY'D COME CRAWLIN BACK
Back then they all had the "Deluxe" look, white pickups on tort, modern hardware, etc... seems they're going for a more vintagey/pawnshoppy vibe this time around, though I suppose they've been tweaking all the models all the time.

Indeed... I was surprised not to see the price jump $50 here in the states. They're still $599 which seems like a pretty good deal IMO, especially for the Roadhouse with all it's fancy new electronics.
