I like the squier version too.
I love JM pickups but it looks wrong on the Pawnshop version. I actually think its a HB pickup under the JM cover.

The only exceptions to the slap bass rule are the song being awesome

†. Rob Chodders and his white man dreads do not fit either category. The odd patch of blues soloing can be fantastic (see: Tony Iommi) but blues noodling in guitar demo videos is never a good thing.
