They're bringing them back again? What is the price on that? I am part way through converting a gold top to black top

I still can't make my mind up on Bigsbys, but that's beautiful.

That one is a new Historic so it is priced around $4860. If you made the one you have into a black top that would be super cool! Gibson never actually sold any black top Les Pauls from 1952-1960 but they may have repainted some gold tops or even flame tops as black tops at the request of a customers. At least, that's what I was told when I asked at "The Les Paul Forum" if there were actually any vintage black tops .

It's an awesome combo, but the special runs they did at Sam ash go for crack money now, and that is if you can find them.

I will add more details to my ongoing project thread eventually

Cool!

I kept this picture of a Sam Ash Blacktop I saw on ebay a long time ago.

I think these ones below where made around 2011.

Cool guitar. I've always loved that color combo, but would probably rather see it on a Gretsch.

Totally, Tokai, Edwards, burny, navigator (I think), Kraken, even the Agile stuff gets good write ups over at mylespaul.com

Thanks to benecol I picked up my edwards for 450 second hand on music radar and it is a HELL of a lot of quality for second hand price, and certainly new price in comparison to what you'd get from Gibson.

Have a look here for loads of info about 'other' les pauls:
