Only just realised that you have to push the trem arm on a Jaguar right in and it works perfectly. Never used it because I thought it just flopped about loose.... sits a bit low though as i've got a buzz stop installed and it hits that sometimes, but works great.

Why did no one tell me this.... probably still won't use it much right enough

i dunno, its still not a perfect system in my experience. guess it depends on the model but i never had much fun with my cij trem.

i think a staytrem, although pricey is a good investment to make it near enough perfect

Park me here. Sure it's a bit spendy but REALLY it's less than a night out pissing all your cash up on a wall somewhere. I think the price is pitched pretty reasonable for what amounts to a perfect solution straight off the shelf with no fudging about with springs and bits of rubber or whatever. A Mastery, however, is beyond my personal financial line of giving a shit, plus i hate the look and the lack of individual saddle intonation (regardless of what folks say about how perfect it is without)

Modified Mustang bridge rules. I used to have one and loved it. The best features of both the Mustang and Jag/Jazz bridges. I wish I had one on my Maverick now.

And fuck the Mastery bridge. Stupid money, looks heinous, and if you're cunty enough to buy one you may as well pair it with a *amber* .

Bros I got a mastery. It's expensive, but half my pedals cost more than it, and I use them way less. It's not perfect, it buzzes too. The main thing about it for me is how solid it is. You can go crazy on it with no ill effects.

people like to have the saddle height adjustability of a jaguar bridge but also the deep saddles of a mustang bridge. Also for people like myself who like a gradual increase in action from e to e you can't use a fixed radius.

While I agree it adds a complication and potential problem, it is minor and easily managed

neithers objectively better or worse than the other. it depends on what your needs are. however, some mustang bridges have gaps between the saddles which is a pain, meaning they can move around and settle differently. the warmoth bridge keeps them from moving from side to side.

and as i said in my previous post, a setup and action does not necessarily match the radius of the fretboard to be optimum for a particular player. my guitars included

we've established that people have different requirements, and those reasons are why they'd deal with the extra hassle of 12 screws. A strat or modern tele bridge has them afterall and they're renowned for being less finnicky than the jaguar, mustang and jazzmaster pile anyway

the killing of vibrations theory sounds like garbage hype to be honest. The majority of bridges out there operate purposefully so saddles stay rigid and snug next to each other. Most strats operate in this way and I've never found a tune o matic guitar like a les paul to have problems with vibration dampening. In fact its safe to say that the more mass a vibration is able to travel through the better the resonance and sustain. This is typically why a jaguar with a tune o matic will have more low end and sustain than the stock bridge.

I'd be interested to see if bill callaham ever actually said that, but he seems to cash in on that kind of corksniffery quite well so I can't say I'd be surprised .

I've typed twice already that some people don't like the action offered by a fixed radius bridge. That's the group of "they" you can't seem to understand or accept. It sells enough to warrant its consistent listing on warmoth. If you have a problem send them an email about it.

And lmao at saying I'm supporting corksniffery by trying to explain the benefits of the bridge to you. Do you know that there hasn't been another option for people wanting height adjustment on a mustang bridge for the longest time? There is literally nothing else on the market except the recent mastery bridges and the newer squier bridges, which happen to be garbage (squiers i mean). And even then many people including myself have complained about the price of the warmoth bridge because you are right, it is expensive but that doesnt negate the need for a bridge like that. First it's the functionality you can't handle, next it's the price.

But dear god man, how can you throw that at me, when in a flooded market of tele gear, you spent 133 American dollars on some generic metal tele bridge with a bill callaham stamp because apparently the saddles don't touch. Holy fucking shit! You just incinerated yourself bud

I honestly stopped reading that bill callaham page when I read "8% increase in sustain". Your bridge looks like any other bridge out there, but it's your money I guess

It is literally an upgrade if you want adjustable saddle height and no gaps (if gaps are a problem).

i would now like you to show me where anyone has said anything near approaching what you're accusing people of saying. all i can see is richard's post saying he liked his, and the rest is me explaining that people have different needs, which i shouldn't even have to explain to you again and again again. so if you please, who or what are you arguing against? i don't see anyone saying it's an objectively better bridge.

or dont bother, judging by your other thread about circling round buzz words to do with your mustang's pickup, i don't really think you know what you're talking about anyway.

and the forum is quiet because i'm handling this shit like a champ with all the knowledge bestowed upon me by my shortscale brethren.

i have done the diff radius thing before actually....
a few shortscalers played it, and thought it was lovely, it was my friends 77 tele dlx. normal radius of 7.25, it was re-frettted with jumbo frets, and after a few years it needed a fret level, i actually used my radius block and set it like 9.50 or so, and then set the bridge up even flatter than that, that way he could bend his high e, and b and not choke out, also his low e had great string oscilation and attack, but the d,and g strings were as low as they could go giving the overal feel of the guitar an "easy" feeling.
like i said, i took it to bro-fest and let everyone there play it, everyone loved it, i explained to mezz what i did and he seemed to follow what i was saying. everyone else was drunk by that point tho, i don't think anyone else understood the crap that was comming out of my mouth
