got my stuff back! BAM!!!

Post by robert(original) »

when i got locked up a while back my cousin grabbed a load of my stuff. an 06 fender malibu, 83 fender telecaster, a left handed pink sx strat(i strung it righty and put dots on the opposite side of the neck) my old ampeg ss-70c amp. and my pedal board with all my main effects. well just recently me mum went to cleveland to visit and noticed that all of this stuff was sitting in the garage, unplayed, and in a couple cases, in need of repair. she grabbed it all up and brought it back to indiana for me. which. hey, i figured it was gone, but since he didn't appreciate it, i got it back. here are some pics.

the malibu is in my parents bassment as it needs ALOT of work!
and stinky pinky(the pink sx strat) is in the corner, it needs new strings and a set up. the tele had the same strings on it that were on it 2 years ago, rusted up, full of finger cheese, just horrid, i changed those out immediately.

this is the third or fourth time i have owned this tele, originally it was black, with a white pickguard and pretty straight ahead tele style pickups. then i took about 4 mms off of each side(front and back) bound it, and painted it black again, didn't even bother taking it back from the 60 grit thickness sander. then i put a jazzy pup in the neck. then sold it back to the guy i got it from but put the pickguard back on and the original neck pickup. then he gave it to me after i got back from wisconsin, thats when i put the gfs pup in the neck. then added the b-bender. then i got locked up. my cousin got it, and now i have it back. im thinking of taking the b-bender off and selling it, its cool, but i don't really use it, and i think its worth a lil over 100 bucks, i can't remember.

if you're gonna sell the tele, keep the b-bender and post it here.

Just curious, why did you take the 4mm off each side? The sides or the front and back?

i took it off cuz i was making a template of the body.... ages ago.7-8 years ago, anywho, i can't remember how, but the router slipped and took a good bit out of the body, so instead of filling it, i just took it down. its about the thickness of an affinity, and to be honest, originally it was thicker than ron jeremys cock. i was playing with the idea of getting two sheets of MOP or something like that and making a pickguard top and back for something different.

Tele looks savage. Like a biker in a suit.

What are those two pedals next to the bassballs?

B.Y.O.C. reverb and tremolo. the bigger one is the reverb, and the smaller one is the tremolo. the reverb pedal is WET AS FUCK! sounding almost too much, and the tremolo pedal is pretty decent all around. it can get pretty choppy.

Cool Tele kinda reminds me of the mutt the guy in 'big pink' played when I seen them a few years ago... get a Chrome guard on it.

Woah! Merry Christmas!I bet that Sitar Swami sounds ridiculous with Aen's pedals. Mmmm, sweet sweet noise.

And dang that tele is sexy. Sanding it like that probably makes it about the thickness of an Affinity telecaster, which is way comfy.

a couple of times i have just turned on the sitar swami, the bassballs and an overdrive/distortion, and it creates a weird ambient noise which i have put in a couple recordings.
im not getting the same sound out of my thunder as i used to, but its likes to be in front of the chain, and im using a different amp/guitar. but whateva! i had a nice lil bedroom style noise jam today. first time in a long time i have gotten to fiddle with pedals and just be a noisey dick.

Anyone who wasn't part of the original OSG breakout is a n00b. It's in the articles of incorporation. I've been here since October 07 and I'm still a n00b. You've got to know your place.
