Peter Buck played the lead guitar on "I Will Dare" and Paul played the 12 string.

Good stuff! For some reason I always imagined Buck playing every note of guitar on that song. It's so REM-jangly... not in a bad way.

It's confusing because some sources like Wikipedia say he play lead on I will Dare

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Replac ... %28band%29

But in interview in "All Over But The Shouting" Buck said he just played mandolin

Your rock and roll guitar may become a little more valuable.

I owned one of those Paul Westerberg First Acts. Got it for $45 out of somebody's garage. It is a cool guitar and I recommend it. Gnarly p-90 in the bridge, kinda skinny neck, plays like a hoss. I gave it to a friend of mine. Some previous owner wiped off or painted over most of the plaid finish on the pickguard which sucks.

Why was Paul wearing leather pants in that ad?
I was lucky enough to see the Replacements 3 times in my youth. None with Bob though.
